Summary

SUMMARY

The Front Desk Admin Support Clerk provides non-personal services in support of the U.S. Air Force Military & Family Readiness Center (M&FRC) at Minot AFB. This role focuses on Transition Assistance Program (TAP) data entry and front desk customer service functions. The primary objective is to assist the organization with clerical assignments, record maintenance, and visitor coordination while ensuring all tasks comply with Air Force Instructions (AFI) and local policies.

 

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS
Pay Range: $21 - $22.50/hour

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Customer Support: Greet visitors, receive telephone calls, and refer individuals to appropriate staff based on knowledge of M&FRC programs. Answer nontechnical requests for information and follow up on inquiries.
  • Data Management: Perform TAP data entry and update electronic files using ACCESS and AFFIRST systems. Ensure customers complete required forms, such as the Statement of Understanding (SOU).
  • Correspondence & Documentation: Prepare, proofread, and edit a variety of recurring and nonrecurring correspondence, reports, and instructions. Ensure correct grammar, spelling, punctuation, and formatting for all written materials.
  • Administrative Support: Process incoming and outgoing mail/electronic messages, manage the M&FRC outlook appointment calendar, and maintain office "suspense" dates for tracking deadlines.
  • Office Operations: Requisition office supplies, printing support, and related services. Use various office automation software (word processing, spreadsheets, graphics) to produce complex documents and charts.

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

 

  • Software Proficiency: Knowledge of Microsoft Office suite, specifically Access and Excel. Ability to use multiple office automation functions to create, edit, and retrieve data.
  • Communication: Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, using tact and courtesy.
  • Clerical Expertise: Knowledge of format, rules, and procedures applicable to clerical assignments, including maintaining files and processing mail.
  • Technical Knowledge: Preferred knowledge of Air Force terminology. Ability to perform simple troubleshooting of office software and systems.

 

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

 

  • High School Diploma or associate’s degree (preferred).
  • Candidates must provide a resume demonstrating their ability to meet all requirements listed.
  • Experience in a clerical or administrative role involving information assembly and report composition is required.

 

Clearance/License Requirements

    • A Public Trust clearance is required for this position. A minimum background investigation (NACI) is required for access to DOI facilities and information systems.
    • Must maintain a valid Driver’s License and be insurable under the company insurance program.

 

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY

No specific supervisory responsibilities are required.

 

WORK ENVIRONMENT

 

  • The government provides a workspace at 475 Summit Dr, Minot AFB, including all necessary equipment (workstations, computer with internet access, and telephone).
  • Responsible for keeping the work area in a clean and orderly condition.
  • Dress Code: Employees must maintain a well-groomed appearance and wear Business Casual attire (clean jeans are permitted) with a name tag always worn.
